- Step 1: In a pot, combine the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring this fragrant mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Step 2: Add the daikon slices to the pot and simmer for about 15 minutes until the daikon is tender.
- Step 3: Gently add the yellowtail fillets to the pot. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes, ensuring the fish is cooked through.
- Step 4: Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
- Step 5: Garnish with green onions if desired and serve warm.
