- Step 1: In a bowl, combine the mirin, soy sauce, sake (if using), sugar, and grated ginger. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Step 2: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Step 3: Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Step 4: Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Step 5: Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Step 6: Transfer the salmon to a serving plate and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat gently or enjoy cold.
