Ingredients

For the Gluten-Free Noodles
  • 2 cups gluten-free rice flour This is the base of our noodles, giving them that lovely chewy texture.
  • 1/2 cup tapioca starch It helps bind the noodles and adds a delightful elasticity.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt A little seasoning goes a long way in enhancing the flavors.
  • 3/4 cup water This hydrates the flour and helps form the dough.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil It adds moisture and richness to the noodles.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pot
  • Rolling Pin

Method

  1. Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, tapioca starch, and salt. Stir them together until well mixed.
  2. Step 2: Gradually add the water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix everything together until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5 minutes to develop elasticity.
  4. Step 4: Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion out into thin sheets.
  5. Step 5: Cut the sheets into your desired noodle shape.
  6. Step 6: Bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully add the noodles. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  7. Step 7: Drain the noodles and rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  8. Step 8: Serve the noodles with your favorite sauce or toppings.
