Ingredients
  

For the Salad
  • 2 medium apples preferably Fuji or Honeycrisp
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup roasted sesame seeds
For the Dressing
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
To taste
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped green onions.
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Step 3: Pour the dressing over the apple mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds on top and toss again lightly.
  5. Step 5: Serve immediately or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

This salad is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
