Method
- Step 1: Start by boiling water in a kettle. Once it reaches a boil, let it cool to around 175°F (80°C).
- Step 2: While the water cools, place the green tea leaves in a teapot or your favorite cup.
- Step 3: Pour the cooled water over the tea leaves, covering them completely.
- Step 4: Steep the tea for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 5: Once steeped, strain the tea leaves or simply remove the tea bag if you used one.
- Step 6: Serve hot and enjoy your Japanese green tea!
Notes
If you have leftover tea, you can store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. However, for the best flavor, I recommend brewing just what you need.
