- Step 1: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Step 2: Add the Japanese noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until tender.
- Step 3: While the noodles are cooking, heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Step 4: Add grated ginger and chopped green onions to the skillet, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Step 5: Add the vegetables and optional protein to the skillet, cooking until the vegetables are tender and the protein is cooked through.
- Step 6: Once the noodles are cooked, drain and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Step 7: Add the drained noodles to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and protein.
- Step 8: Pour in the soy sauce and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Step 9: Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of water.
