Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour The base of our delicious cake.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweetness is key to making this cake irresistible.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened, adds richness and flavor.
  • 1 cup milk Helps keep the cake moist and tender.
  • 2 large eggs Provide structure and richness.
  • 1 tbsp baking powder The secret to a fluffy rise!
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract A splash of this brings warmth to the flavor.
  • ½ tsp salt Enhances all the flavors beautifully.

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Step 3: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Step 8: Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

After baking, let your cake cool completely. You can store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you want to keep it longer, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to three months.
