Ingredients
  

For the Bento Box
  • 1 cup cooked rice This serves as the base.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables carrots, peas, corn or your favorites.
  • 1 piece boiled egg A great source of protein.
  • 1 small chicken breast or tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • to taste soy sauce or teriyaki sauce For flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • optional sesame seeds For garnish.

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once it's fluffy and ready, set it aside.
  2. Step 2: In a pan, steam or sauté the mixed vegetables until they're tender. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  3. Step 3: Grill or pan-fry the chicken breast (or tofu) until fully cooked. Once done, slice it into strips.
  4. Step 4: Boil the egg for about 10 minutes, then peel and cut it in half.
  5. Step 5: In a bento box or meal prep container, layer the cooked rice at the bottom.
  6. Step 6: Arrange the mixed vegetables and sliced chicken (or tofu) on top of the rice.
  7. Step 7: Place the boiled egg halves alongside the other ingredients.
  8. Step 8: Drizzle with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  9. Step 9: Seal the container and refrigerate until you're ready to enjoy your meal!

Notes

These bento boxes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Just make sure they are sealed well to keep everything fresh.
