- Step 1: In a pot, bring the dashi broth to a boil over medium heat.
- Step 2: Add the onion, carrot, and daikon radish to the pot, and simmer for about 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

- Step 4: Stir in the mushrooms and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Step 5: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and miso paste until smooth, then add it to the pot, stirring to combine.
- Step 6: Season with salt to taste and simmer for an additional minute.
- Step 7: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and shiso leaves, if desired.
