Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Start by placing a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface with one corner pointing towards you.
- Step 2: Spoon a small amount of filling (about 1 teaspoon) onto the center of the wrapper. Don't overfill, or sealing will be tricky!
- Step 3: Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. This helps create a good seal.
- Step 4: Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle shape. This is where the magic begins!
- Step 5: Press the edges together firmly to seal, ensuring there are no air pockets. You want these little guys to stay together during cooking.
- Step 6: For a decorative touch, bring the two side corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal. It adds a lovely flair!
- Step 7: Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until you have a delicious assortment.
- Step 8: Cook the wontons according to your preferred method - whether you choose boiling, frying, or steaming, they'll be scrumptious!
Notes
Leftover wontons can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Uncooked wontons can be frozen for up to 2 months.
