Yuzu Cha (Citron Tea)

Ingredients
  

For the Yuzu Cha
  • 1 cup yuzu fresh or jarred
  • 1 cup honey or sugar for sweetness
  • 4 cups water for the tea base

Method
 

  1. Step 1: If using fresh yuzu, wash, cut in half, remove seeds, and scoop out the pulp. If using jarred yuzu, skip this step.
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine yuzu pulp with honey (or sugar) and let it sit for about 30 minutes to meld flavors.
  3. Step 3: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Step 4: Reduce heat and add yuzu mixture to the pot, stirring to combine.
  5. Step 5: Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  6. Step 6: Remove from heat and strain the tea into cups, discarding the solids.
  7. Step 7: Serve hot or chill for a refreshing drink later.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Stir before serving.
