Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup yuzu juice fragrant citrus juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce adds depth and umami flavor
  • 2 tbsp mirin sweet rice wine
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar adds gentle acidity
  • 1 tsp bonito flakes enhances umami profile
  • 1 tsp sea salt for seasoning

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the yuzu juice, soy sauce, mirin, and rice vinegar.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the bonito flakes and sea salt until everything is well mixed.
  3. Step 3: Allow the mixture to sit for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  4. Step 4: If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the bonito flakes.
  5. Step 5: Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  6. Step 6: Optional: Garnish with sliced green onions or a sprinkle of chili flakes before serving.

Notes

For a smoother sauce, strain the mixture. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
